"My Happy Ending" fue la cancion elegida como segundo sencillo del segundo album de estudio de Avril Lavigne, "Under My Skin" (2004). El single seria editado durante el verano de ese mismo año.
La cancion fue escrita por Avril Lavigne en colaboracion con Butch Walker, y habla de una relacion que se rompre y que a pesar de todas las adversidades que tuvo que superar para afrontarlo, paso lo mejor que tenia que pasar y asi fue "su final feliz".
En el videoclip se ve a Avril en un cine abandonado en el que va viendo escenas (flashbacks) de como era la relacion con su novio, en forma de imagenes de pelicula que fluyen por el aire, desde que la relacion era un idilio hasta la ruptura. Finalmente Avril sale del cine llorando y sube a una azotea donde con su guitarra y su banda acaba la cancion, mientras las imagenes que se ven son de ella y sus amigas saliendo juntas y una Avril que supero la ruptura.

"My Happy Ending" fue el single mas exitoso extraido de "Under My Skin", y se convirtio en el cuarto nº1 mundial de Avril Lavigne despues de los tres consecutivos conseguidos con los singles "Complicated", "Sk8er Boi" y "I'm With You", de su album debut "Let Go" (2002). El single fue certificado platino por la RIAA, el segundo single platino de Avril tras "Complicated". Alcanzo el nº1 en los charts en paises como Japon y Mexico, top 5 en Argentina y Reino Unido y top 10 en EEUU y España.

| dios que emocion =´) ...con my happy ending yo me hice super fan de avril,antes nomas me gustaba pero no para ser ´´fan´´ (obviamente no sabia casi nada de ella) y con esta cancion empece a buscar info,vi como era y demas...que buena cancion =´) |

A punto de ser coronado "Girlfriend" como el video mas visto de la historia de Youtube, el videoclip de "My Happy Ending" entra en el top de los 100 videos mas vistos de esa web, escalando cada dia posiciones y con mas de 18.000.000 de visitas.
Con este, ya son 3 los videos de Avril que estan entre los 100 mas vistos de la web. |
