Clams. First thing I think of when I think of the East Coast. I’m like Bubba in Forrest Gump, only it’s clams instead of shrimp. Cherrystones, Little Necks, Soft Shell, Essex Steamers, and Quahaugs. Raw, steamed, fried, baked, casino, chowder, stuffed–in rolls, the halfshell, on a dinner plate or a carboard tray. I like clams.
