Finally home, after an exciting week where I had an amazing surf trip and some good contest

results. I got 1st place at the Canarian Championship in Sprint raceand 2nd in Long distance on

my Inflatable and besides that I got 1st on the First stop of the Canarian/Spanish Championship

at la Cicer. On Monday I went to a Surf trip with Pablo Ramírez Bolaños where we scored some

great waves… here’s a little preview:=)

Finally arrived home, after having an amazing time at the ISA World Championship in Peru:)

Finally home after a fun weekend at the BOOT in Düsseldorf, it was super cold and snow was laying everywhere but it was great to see snow again;)
I also finished 5th at the first German SUP Indoor Championship.
Can`t wait to go back next year!!!

I want to wish everybody a Happy New Year with a lot of wind, perfect waves and good health!
First of all I want to thank my family for the encouragement, all the people who helped me on my travels and of course all my sponsors for the huge support: STARBOARD, NORTH SAILS and ION.

A few day ago I had a amazing session at Mosca Point, sadly at the end of it I hurt my neck;( Yesterday I went to the Fisio, nothing serious just something wrong with the muscle, a few more Fisio sessions to go, and I hope next week I can go on the water again....fingers crossed

We had an amazing forecast for these days at Pozo, but the results was gusty wind and totally flat. Today we went a little bit more north where the wind was even more gusty but at least we got some small fun waves, so all in al a great Sunday;)

Sadly the great forecast we had, didn´t really came. But still I managed to get two really fun sessions in Bahia Feliz with 4.5 onshore from the right, I think I learned a lot pulled of a few takas and some great aerials;)

Spanish Championship

Just came back from the Spanish Championship, I am really happy with my results;)
I got 3rd place in waves, 1st youngster in the long distance race of 15 km where I also finished on 1st place in the inflatable category. On the last day I participated on the 3 km beach race Eurosupa, where I also made 1st of the youngsters (and 7th overall)

Finally arrived back home again after a amazing trip to the south of France.
End of September the DWV (German Surf Association) have organized the German championship in surf (shortboard & longboard), boogie and Stand Up Paddle. They were held in Seignosse close to the famous beach breaks of Hossegor and SUP was the first time on their schedule.
The week was great, I met a lot of cool people and found plenty of new friends. Besides this I made the first place in SUP!
I want to thank to thank to all those friendly people on the street who helped me to find my way, the organisation team and the junior coaches! Thanks also to my family and my sponsors.

Two weeks ago the first spanish waves contest in 2012 took place at Gran Canaria, La Cicer.
We had good waves and the event was really great, there was a nice level and the organization was also great. Im really happy with my 2nd place it's a great start for the new year:)

TenerifeAt the last weekend I had the chance to take part in the last stop of the2011 wave tour of the Canary Islands at Las Américas, Tenerife.
As it was a standby event we were waiting already a few weeks for a good surf and at the 28th of January it was the last chance. It was my first event in SUP and I did not have any idea about the level of the other riders.On Saturday the waves were great, but due to many participants at the surf category the SUP heats were postponed to Sunday. So I went out to prepare myself and to get used to the place.Sunday started calm with no wind at all but also the waves were much smaller. At least it was still enough to start the competition.The SUP competition began at noon, each heat lasted 15 minutes. It was quite a challenge to pick out the best waves because they were breaking over a shallow reef. Almost all the riders got in touch with the reef, but luckily nothing serious happened.After a few tight heats the competition was done and I was absolutely happy with my result: 2nd place!1st place: Eric Terrien2nd place: Moritz Mauch3rd place: Felix Palmero
After this great experience I decided to participate in the Spanish SUP tour and probably in a few international events.

A few days ago I got my new toys from Starboard :)
I could try already the 74l Quad IQ and it`s amazing! Sailed it with onshore and side-shore conditions and I really liked it. Hopefully we will get stronger winds soon, so I can ride the small 69 Quad.
I also had a fun session with the 8.0 x 26 Tiki SUP in small waves and I managed some 360s :)
Forecast for tomorrow promises some waves.

We are having some good days over here :)
Since Friday when the wind arrived it is getting stronger and stronger
every day. The first 2 days I also tried to improve my Freestyle.
The next few days I will upload some more pics - so stay tuned :)

Sorry that I didn`t post anything for such a long time but we had some good conditions, and I also had to study a lot.
The last few days it was super cold....it was even snowing on the mountains!
The statistics say that we had the coldest temperatures since 40 years, but my ION wetsuit holds me warm.
The wind was super strange so we tried to sail in the north of the island but it
was pretty weird.

So I decided to go SUPing - it wasn`t big at all but good fun:)

Since my last post we had plenty ...

Since my last post we had plenty days of south-west winds.
We had all kind of conditions: from super light offshore
to strong side-onshore.
On friday I had a super nice session were I landed some Wave 360(behind the wave)
and nearly made a taka with wind from the right that is pretty unusual for GC.
Soon the holidays will start and it looks like we could get some
trade winds with a good swell for Christmas.

But I had fun every Day today I even made a Double Taka in the wave I was so happy that on the next wave I landed a Taka-Diablo, and in the afternoon nearly a Grubby in the wave. Dani Miguel was making some photos from the water. And as normal there are fantastic.

of windsurf in my holydays the wind started like 3 weeks ago and I was on the water every day with júst 2 days of brake:)
today I was doing Slalom with 5.2:)

SECOND REEF Salinas de Pozo 2010

The last 10 days we had wind every day and also good waves...
Just perfect for my easter vacation!
Last weekend there was a competicion orginazided by Eduardo Diaz (Second Reef) in Salinas de Pozo.
It was super fun because we were in teams of 2 riders. We were judging each other and only waveriding was counted.
I was in one team with Josep Pons and we missed some luck in the single elimination.
In the double elimination the first round was easy because Jose didn´t show up. The next rounds we could beat first Edu and Jorge, then even Dario and Andres by just half a point :). Carlos and Pablito were the next and we could win again!
Then we had a very hard heat (also because we were getting a bit tired) against Pablo Ruiz (from KILLERFISH) and César and we lost by half a point and made the 4th place. Omar Sanchez and Willy got second and Marcos Perez and Manolo got first.

The conditions were really good, the waves were more than 3 meters and the wind was getting over 40 knots. In the heat against Dario I cracked my mast, but Alessio was quick to borrow me his 3,4 sail - muchas gracias otra vez!
Before I was well powered up on the 3,0 already - so you can imagine how big the 3,4 felt to me. There was no time between the heats to put the 3,0 on another mast, so I had to go on on the 3,4 and in the last heat I also broke my fin!
But it was really good fun and I am happy with my results.

This weekend we had good wind finaly. On fryday nothing specil but on Saturday and Sunday there were waves not to high but better than nothing. On Sunday we even had a nice session in Mosca Point. The fotos are from Pozo.

Faro

Saturday we woke up early morning because the wind was howling like hell. In the night we had gusts of 60 knots, on the westerly islands like La Palma even more!
So we decided to go sailing at el Faro - besides the lighthouse of Maspalomas.
When we arived we already saw Alessio sailing with 3.7 overpowered.
The smallest sail we had in our van was a 4.0 so I had to go out with it. First I was quite overpowered, but the wind dropped a bit and it was perfect!!! Then the waves were growing up to 3 meters and it was getting magic - a perfect premiere at Faro for me! Sadly the wind dropped after 2 hours and finally it was too less :(
Therefore Alessio and I switched to a SUP session at Club-Mistral with cool conditions! Just a perfect Saturday :)

Dakhla

On my carneval holidays I traveled together with my dad for 1 week to the very sout of Morocco, to Dakhla. We hoped for the usual north-east wind to have a few good sessions on Oum Labouir, the fabolous wave spot on the Atlantic side. Unfortunately we had a bit crazy wind direction mostly from south-west.
So we enjoyed a few good days in the huge flatwater lagoon of Dakhla. It was good to improve my freestyle and I could sail on my 4,5 every day, once I was even fully powered up with the 4,0.
Never ending beaches, huge sand dunes: quite impressive!
Friendly people and good food too (I really enjoyed the Camel! - true!)

The last days we got south-west wind.
And there weren`t to big waves so I made a but of Freestyle too tomorrow more pics.Normaly with thise wind we get really much clouds and rain.
The canary government decided to close all schools tomorrow and I`m really sad:( xD hehe

Hello,
The last few days we had really good conditions. Mostly I was sailing
with 3.7 or 4.2 and we had some good waves, too.
The only thing was that I had some problems with my nose. On Saturday it began to bleed suddenly when I was on the water and it didn`t stop for quite a while, and on Monday I went to Salinas de Pozo and hit my nose against the boom doing an arial, so it started bleeding again:(.

Here just a few pics from Christmas, we got 6 days in a row of southwesterly winds and alessio and me mediscovered a new secret spot! “We were sailing already 3 days mostly at Ketchup or at Bahia Feliz with wind around 20 to 25 knots and waves up to 2 meters. It took us a while to get used to wind from the right, good fun was included already from the first day. On the forth day we decided to do a longdistance downwind along the cost and we discovered a new spot! We found plenty of space, real long running waves and side-offshore wind. We spend the last 3 days there, on the best day the waves were logo-high. The pictures were taken on the weakest day (less wind and waves, very cloudy) – we think, you can see the potential but the other days were much better. So the best Christmas present we got was just perfect!!!

The last days the wind comes more from the east so there`s better wind

Alessio and me were already investigating all week wind and wave forecasts for Gran Canaria. And we were lucky: perfect conditions hit the island, with wind around 30 knots, waves around 3 meters and, best of all, right at the weekend!

So we spend plenty of time from Friday until Tuesday on the waters of Pozo, Salinas de Pozo and Mosca Point, where the pictures were taken. Mostly we were sailing with 3,4 sails and, like always we had lot of fun.

Today we had pretty good waves but strange wind:S
it was very gusty, I was out on a 3.4 full overpowered in the gusts.
Yesterday I was out on a 4.2 and good waves too.

Hello to all,

The last days we had some good fun sessions.
first on Thursday there were big waves and light wind and
On Friday the waves were going down but the wind up.
On saturday I was first in Mosca Point with Alessio than we did a brake and the we went to Salinas and finaly a jump session in pozo.
And yesterday the wind dropped a lot so I went Freestyling and I get my new north ram
so I was Slaloming as well so it wwas a great weekend

there was no wind for quite a while.
But since 3 days we have wind again,
the first day I was freestyling the second day
there came some waves, and today I was out on a 4.0 overpowert
and with good waves.

At the pozo junior event I
finished 3rd. I was the youngest competidor,
so I`m pretty happy about this result.
At the spanish championchip I finished 17th and 5th in the junior competicion (up to 18 years)
I`m pretty happy about the event because i sailed pretty good but in the first heat I met Jose Romero (winner of the junior event).
Alao there I was the youngest competidor:D
